BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) -- Luigi Mangione, who is accused of murdering United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, will not be transferred back to Blair County, Pennsylvania to face charges from the day he was arrested at a McDonald's.
New court documents show that federal prosecutors from the United States Attorney's Office of Southern New York have submitted paperwork that Mangione will not be brought back to Blair County to face his charges.
Previously, the U.S. Attorney's office confirmed via email that Mangione wouldn't be brought back; however, that wasn't good enough for defense attorney Thomas Dickey, who is representing Mangione in Blair County.
The issue caused Mangione's next court date in Blair County to be canceled after he refused to appear virtually. Dickey cited that it was M
