(WHTM) — An iconic uniform is expected to return for the Nittany Lions for this weekend's Homecoming Game.

Penn State released a video on X announcing that their throwback uniforms, featuring a small blue Nittany Lion stamped on the front of the trademark white collar.

"The jersey became a real staple through the whole, all '80s, all '90s, all 2000s, really," a narrator said in the video. "That's really a recognizable three decades of Penn State football. People are really going to enjoy seeing it again."

The Penn State Nittany Lions are looking to rebound in Week 7 against Northwestern after losing back-to-back games against Oregon and UCLA.

The Nittany Lions will face the Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on October 11. The game will also be the Stripe Out game for fans in the stands.
