WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WWLP) - The suspect arrested in connection with a firearm incident in Wilbraham is scheduled to be in court on Tuesday.

Wilbraham Police Chief Edward Lennon stated that officers were called at around 7:15 a.m. on Friday to a home on Crane Hill Road for reports of a man threatening a person with a firearm. When officers arrived, they encountered a man who was armed, firing gunshots.

Due to the threat, the Massachusetts State Police Special Tactical Operations Team was called in to assist, and a shelter-in-place was issued to residents. The suspect was taken into custody at around 12:30 p.m., and the shelter-in-place was lifted.
