CANYON, Texas (KTRE) - Former Diboll Lumberjack Zach Phipps scored a 45-yard touchdown on a highlight-reel play in West Texas A&M’s 56-7 win over Sul Ross on Saturday.

The sophomore caught a pass and spun out of a tackle before outrunning his defenders to the end zone to put West Texas A&M up 42-0.

Phipps caught two passes for 60 yards. It was his second touchdown of the season.

For Sul Ross, Tayvion Hunter (Woodville) had five tackles.

West Texas A&M (3-3, 3-1) hosts Eastern New Mexico in LSC play on Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. Sul Ross (0-5, 0-3) hosts Midwestern State Saturday at 7 p.m.
