BBC One's new quiz programme, The Inner Circle, has been launched, but viewers couldn't help but draw comparisons to a classic gameshow.

Amanda Holden, famed for her appearances on Britain's Got Talent and The Spanish Job with Alan Carr , has taken the helm as the quizmaster on The Inner Circle, hosting her own solo show for the first time.

The game features six contestants who are each given a secret stash of cash at the start, ranging from zero to £4,000, adding an unexpected twist to the proceedings.

Only the individual contestant knows the amount in their cash pot, as they answer general knowledge questions in an attempt to boost their total. View 4 Images READ MORE: Alan Carr says people will see a 'different side' to him in upcoming Celebrity Traitors
