VALDOSTA, Ga. ( WALB /Gray News) - A mom in Georgia is speaking out after her 2-year-old son was killed by two Rottweilers while in the care of an unlicensed day care provider.

Police say 2-year-old Kaimir Jones was left unattended for more than two hours inside the home on Oct. 4.

According to investigators, 48-year-old day care operator Stacy Wheeler Cobb had fallen asleep, leaving the child unsupervised.

During that time, authorities believe Kaimir managed to leave the house and open a kennel where two Rottweilers were kept. The dogs killed him before Cobb discovered what had happened, officials said.

Cobb was taken into custody and is now facing multiple felony charges, including second-degree murder and second-degree cruelty to children.
