Sydney list boss Chris Keane has admitted they were not expecting Jack Buller to ask for a move.

The 24-year-old key forward kicked 11 goals from nine games this year and shapes as a key addition for the Pies, who have lost Brody Mihocek to Melbourne.

“Jack caught us off guard a bit. We had no indication he was looking at a move,” Keane told Trade Radio.

“We understand his intention is to get to Collingwood, we will see how that one goes throughout this period.

“We did everything we could have and we had a compelling offer on the table. We are disappointed about it.”
