ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department announced several arrests and felony charges as they responded to complaints in downtown.
Monday afternoon, the department said that nine people had been arrested since Friday.
“We are committed to addressing public safety concerns through proactive and focused policing,” said District 4 Captain Christian Stamper. “We will closely monitor crime patterns while listening to residents and business owners.”
Officers in the area have been conducting traffic stops and pedestrian checks. Police said that in one instance, they stopped a man who was riding a bicycle while carrying a bundle of suspected stolen copper wire and that the suspect was found to have suspected narcotics.
