A 12-year-old girl from Wentzville, Missouri, is raising money for her stem cell treatments by selling lemonade.

Ella Schafluetzel, who uses a wheelchair due to cerebral palsy, told KSDK she hopes to walk again.

"To actually do it (walk), I've been trying to accomplish it for a long time, so it (walking) just makes me really happy," Ella said.

Her mother, Ashley Schafluetzel, explained that the stem cell transfusions Ella needs are costly, with the procedure alone priced at $15,000.

"It costs, just for the procedure alone, it's $15,000," Ashley said. "You can get more than one. So, our hope is to get more than one if she were to need it, then be able to get her the best therapies afterwards as well."
