CO Troy Fondie (Orr) reports duck hunting appeared nonexistent as sunny skies and heat settled in. Grouse-hunting success remains light. Mosquitoes remain persistent. Fire danger is back due to lack of rain.

CO Sean Cannon (Cook) reports many hunters were waiting for fall-like weather to return before hunting hard. He assisted St. Louis County on a burglary in progress call and located a lost person lost deep in the woods East of Crane Lake.

CO Aaron Larson (Tower) reports grouse and waterfowl hunters were still having little success. Anglers on Lake Vermilion found at least a few fish. Violations were primarily related to licenses and boating safety equipment.
