NEW ORLEANS — The pharmacy at Costco is now selling one of the brands of weight loss injections. You will still need a prescription but can get the medication at a much lower cost. But is this the best “medicine” for your wallet?

The medical community continues to find more benefits of those weight loss injections, far beyond appetite control and metabolism. Benefits range from blood sugar control, to healthy changes in the heart, brain, liver, pancreas, bones, kidney, and even mental health. But still people who could benefit find the prescription out of reach.
