NEW ORLEANS — Police are investigating a homicide after a teenager was found shot to death in Algiers on Monday evening.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, officers were called to the 3700 block of Texas Drive at about 8 p.m. Monday and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

Paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further details were immediately available.
