New Orleans police are investigating a homicide after a man was shot dead in Algiers Monday night.

New Orleans Police Department officers were called to a shooting at the 3700 block of Texas Drive around 8 p.m.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by New Orleans EMS.

Police are investigating.
