The family of Fox Sports NFL analyst and former New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has broken its silence after his arrest and brief hospitalization in Indianapolis.

On Saturday, the football world was shocked to learn that Mark Sanchez had been hospitalized after being stabbed numerous times in Indianapolis. The former USC quarterback was in Indy to cover the Colts’ home game against the New York Jets with his broadcast partner, Chris Myers.

But in an unexpected twist, it was later reported that Sanchez had attacked a 69-year-old truck driver delivering cooking oil to a local hotel. The man told police he stabbed Sanchez in self-defense, fearing that the former NFL quarterback was trying to kill him.
