LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
The task force set to help Jefferson County Public Schools address its $188 million budget shortfall says it's looking for creative solutions.
The group met Monday evening, hearing from the district's Chief Operations Officer, Rob Fulk, about what his department needs.
Eventually, the task force will make a recommendation for the 2026-27 tax rate.
Superintendent Brian Yearwood says he doesn't want to raise taxes, and that's something the task force says it is taking into account.
