LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WNDU) - A man is dead after being struck by a school bus in Logansport on Monday afternoon.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office responded to an injury-involved crash that happened just before 3:30 p.m. on State Road 22 near County Road 400 East.

A construction worker, 31-year-old Aaron M. Esparza was directing traffic in the construction zone at the intersection of State Road 22 and 400 East.

Master Trooper Jeremy J. Perez held a preliminary crash investigation to determine Esparaza’s cause of death.

The investigation showed that 35-year-old Tara D. Lopez was driving a school bus traveling northbound on County Road 400 East.

The school bus was driving directly behind another vehicle crossing State Road 22 when it was struck by a Dodge Ram approaching County Road 400
