The Memphis Grizzlies’ 2025–26 campaign hasn’t even begun. Yet it’s already marred by injuries. Ja Morant reportedly suffered an ankle injury that has him listed as week-to-week.

The timing couldn’t be worse for Memphis as Morant joins the team’s growing list of sidelined players. Jaren Jackson Jr. remains on a week-to-week basis following foot surgery, while Zach Edey is expected to miss the first month of the season due to an ankle injury. Brandon Clarke is also still recovering from a knee procedure after a prior PCL injury.
