EL CENTRO — One man is dead following an officer-involved shooting Sunday evening that unfolded after police located a stolen vehicle. The El Centro Police Department has confirmed the incident, which occurred near Dogwood Road and Main Street.

According to an ECPD press release, officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 5. The vehicle was located in a parking lot behind a business in the area.
