Sir Keir Starmer has described protests planned across the UK today on the second anniversary of the October 7 attacks as 'un-British'.
Today marks two years since around 1,200 people were killed and 251 others were taken hostage in the deadly attacks on Israel by Hamas in 2023. A number of protests have been planned by students across universities to mark the anniversary.
Writing in the Times, the Prime Minister urged for the protests not to go ahead claiming they show a lack of respect for others. Sir Keir claimed that pro-Palestine protests have been used by some as a 'despicable excuse to attack British Jews'.
