Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, the founding members of the legendary rock band Rush, are gearing up for their first tour since the death of drummer Neil Peart.
The Canadian rockers announced in an Oct. 6 video and in a statement they'll hit the road in 2026 for the first time in more than a decade with a new drummer, Anika Nilles, taking on the "near impossible role" of filling in for the "irreplaceable" Peart, who died in 2020 of brain cancer at age 67.
Lee and Lifeson, both 72, are calling the upcoming tour, which kicks off June 7, 2026 in Los Angeles, the “Fifty Something” tour and said it would celebrate Rush’s legacy — which includes the hits "Tom Sawyer" and "New World Man" — while also honoring Peart, long considered one of rock's best drummers.
