FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The second teenager linked to a 2023 double-shooting over a vape deal gone wrong was sentenced Monday.
A judge in Allen Superior Court suspended a 16-year sentence for Antron Pearson. He was instead given probation.
Pearson was 17 when, in November 2023, police began investigating a double-shooting that left a man in life-threatening condition. A boy was also injured but was deemed stable at the hospital.
Jeremiah Johnson, who was also 17 at the time of the shooting, was sentenced in July to 20 years in prison for his role after pleading guilty to robbery.
Pearson and Johnson had been charged with attempted murder, armed robbery, robbery resulting in serious injury, and an enhancement for using a firearm. According to court documents in the case, the shooting
