British travellers have been issued an important update by the UK Foreign Office ahead of a major rule change impacting 29 European countries from October 12.
At the end of this week the European Union will introduce the Entry/Exit System (EES) across the Schengen area, which includes popular holiday destinations such as Spain, France and Greece.
The new system is designed to boost border security and monitor third-country nationals - such as Brits - to make sure they are not overstaying the 90-day visa-free limit within an 180-day period.
