Poundland bosses have stepped in to save two Lothian branches from imminent closure following the announcement 12 stores would shut across the UK.
We recently reported how West Lothian and East Lothian were both set to lose Poundland branches as the company was forced to make widespread closures.
The stores at Livingston's The Centre and on Musselburgh's High Street were both confirmed to be closing before bosses today announced three closures, including both Lothian stores, were reversed.
In a last-ditch effort, Poundland secured new agreements for leases in Livingston and Musselburgh, as well as in Porthcawl.
The stores will now remain open and are set to re-open later this month. The Livingston location will open doors on October 13 with the Musselburgh site opening on October
