LITTLE RIVER, S.C. —
McLeod Seacoast Hospital in Little River, South Carolina, was placed under a brief lockdown on Tuesday morning after threats were made toward the hospital.
Shortly after 9 a.m., the Horry County Police Department announced that officers are investigating after threats were made toward the hospital over the phone.
As a precaution, the hospital was placed under lockdown and nearby schools were placed under a secure status.
At 9:15 a.m., officers completed safety checks and lifted the lockdown on the hospital as well as the secure status on the impacted schools. No credible threat was reported.
