The UK could be treated to have a full Indian Summer in October, it has been claimed.

Temperatures could hit 21C for Brits later this month, with some speculating it could be as early as next week.

So far this year, we have experienced a rather dry summer and autumn, which has in turn given rise to a Mediterranean climate across the country, a meteorologist has shared.

Most regions will see highs between 18C and 21C this month, which is unusually high for this period of the year according to British Weather Services' senior meteorologist Jim Dale.

The expert said the spikes in the climate are becoming more common, and are likely to be sticking around as climate change continues, the Mirror reported.
