PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Kristi Noem is expected to visit Portland, officials confirmed Tuesday morning.

According to the Portland Police Bureau, the agency has received word that Noem would be visiting. However, the details of her visit are unknown.

Officials said that PPB will be providing support for her visit to help protect the community and to make sure that roads and public spaces are safe.

Portland police also restated that they will still not support any federal immigration enforcement activities, consistent with Portland's sanctuary city status.

In response to Noem's visit, Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden said that she is cosplaying as a public official and that she should just be ignored while supporting the community.
