Jefferson County and parts of northern Bullitt County are under flash flood warning until 2:15 p.m Oct. 7., while Louisville officials report multiple water rescues in areas of flooding.

Flash flooding is already occurring in the Louisville metro area Oct. 7, according to information included in the NWS warning. The warning comes after rain gauges indicated 2-3 inches of rain had already fallen in Louisville, while doppler radar projections show thunderstorms producing heavy rains in the metro area could bring up to two additional inches of rain.
