CLEVELAND — Members of the Cleveland State University community gathered Tuesday afternoon for a silent rally following recent changes to the university’s long-running radio station, WCSB.
The event took place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the quad between Rhodes Tower and the Student Center. According to a post from WCSB's Instagram account (which has since been deactivated ), the gathering was held "to mourn the loss of WCSB as a student organization and to bring students, student orgs, alums, and members of the WCSB community together."
"We have hundreds and thousands of voices that need to be heard," former station general manager Alison Bomgardner told 3News. "Cleveland State has decided to silence those voices, but that does not mean we will be silent."
