MASSILLON, Ohio — Cardinal Ritter College Prep's high school football team was hit with pepper spray when a fight broke out on the field after an Ohio game, according to local police.
The Massillon Police Department said Friday, Cardinal Ritter was playing a game against Massillon Washington High School. The local school district asked Massillon police to act as security for the game.
The department released video of the incident where they allege that after the game, there were several physical altercations between both teams including pushing and shoving, requiring staff members, coaches and police officers to intervene.
