A mother of two has been missing since a suspicious fire broke out at her Indiana home a week ago — with her distraught family panicked that “something bigger” has happened to her.

Firefighters were called to Brittany Gard’s home in Bainbridge on Tuesday, Sept. 30, to put out a small fire — but found no one home, despite the 46-year-old mom’s car and purse still being there.

“Who took her?” Gard’s sister Stephanie Bowen asked on WRTV on Monday. 3

“How does someone just go missing these days? It doesn’t make any sense,” the sister said as her family scoured cornfields and woods near her home, roughly 35 miles west of Indianapolis.

“I feel like there’s something here bigger that we don’t know and someone knows something,” she said.
