LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office is searching for an inmate who they say walked off a job site in Lake Charles.

Deputies say that Darius Cortez Simmons, 24, who is an inmate participating in the LA Workforce program, left his job site at the Golden Corral in Lake Charles around 9 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6.

While deputies say his accomplice has been apprehended, Darius has not yet been located.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information on Darius’ whereabouts to please contact them using any of the following options:
