TOWN OF PESHTIGO, Wis. (WBUP/WJMN) — No criminal charges will be pursued against the two Marinette Police officers who fatally shot a murder suspect in the Town of Peshtigo, said the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ).

This determination comes just over a month after the incident in late August, which involved a high-speed pursuit on US-41 of an individual suspected of murder who crashed near Schacht Road and confronted officers with a boxcutter.

The DOJ's Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) began its investigation into the Marinette Police Department officers Parker J. De Los Santos and Andrew D. Bonjean, who shot the rounds that killed the suspect.
