The moments after a vehicle crashed into the embankment barrier were captured by a shocked motorist on Calder Road.

At around 6.35pm emergency services were called into action with paramedics seen 'treating a motorist' during the October 7 incident.

Traffic travelling westbound in front of the Burton's Biscuit factory was slow, with one lane partially closed during rush hour.

It is not yet known what led to the crash or if anyone was taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

An eyewitness said: "I took the pictures at 6.35pm, and the police had only just arrived on the scene, with the ambulance just there before them.

"The paramedic appeared to be treating at least a driver in the crashed car.
