ELDRIDGE, Iowa (KWQC) - No students were hurt after North Scott High School was placed on lockdown due unfounded report of a gun, school officials say.
North Scott Superintendent Joe Stutting told KWQC-TV6 there was a report of a gun in the high school and the school was put on lockdown.
Ed White Elementary and North Scott Junior High were on a soft lockdown as well as a precaution, officials said.
After searching the building, they did not find a gun, Stutting said.
He said that one student was involved.
“You know, we appreciate our students,” Sutting said. “When we say, see something, say something, this is exactly how it’s supposed to happen, is that we’re all in it for school safety, it’s the number one priority of the district to make sure we have a safe environment. Our students
