Ricky Rubio returned to action with his boyhood club Joventut Badalona, kicking off the Basketball Champions League season with a victory.

The Spanish side dominated Cholet Baskets at Pavelló Olímpic de Badalona, cruising to a convincing 91–73 win in their Regular Season opener.

Joventut took control from the start, winning the opening quarter 29–17 and steadily extending the lead. By midway through the second period, they were up 46–23, and after a 74–52 advantage in the third, it was clear the Spanish team would prevail. Cholet attempted a comeback, but Joventut even widened the gap to 89–66, eventually securing a dominant victory.

Eleven players scored for the winners, with Ante Tomic leading with 14 points, Sam Dekker adding 13, and Ludde Hakanson 12. Rubio finished with five points
