LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A sinkhole has opened up in a road in Jeffersontown, according to officials.

The City of Jeffersontown said Plantside Drive between Bunsen Way and Caton Drive will be closed due to a collapsed pipe under the road.

This comes after the Louisville area has been drenched throughout Tuesday, causing several traffic issues and flooded areas of road .
