KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Police Department unveiled its newest crime-fighting tools Tuesday, showcasing utility terrain vehicles designed to enhance officer mobility in hard-to-reach areas.

The UTVs will be deployed in downtown alleys, parking lots and city streets in the River Market, Downtown and Crossroads areas — where traditional patrol cars may have limited access. Police officials said the vehicles are intended to make officers more nimble in their response to incidents.
