A fire inside an elevator shaft at the Florida Blue building is expected to shut down Riverside Avenue for about two hours, according to officials.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department confirmed the incident to News4JAX around 6:25 p.m. on Tuesday and said no injuries have been reported due to the flames.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the 500 to 600 block of Riverside Avenue is expected to be the most affected.
