BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WPRI) — For paranormal enthusiasts, "The Conjuring" house in Burrillville is a notoriously popular haunt.

But for Andrea Perron — it was once her childhood home.

"My mother always said we could leave the farm, but the farm would never leave us," Perron explained.

Perron and her family first moved into the Round Top Road home in 1971 and lived there for nearly a decade.

The Perrons were plagued by unexplainable and unimaginable paranormal encounters while living in the home.

Perron herself chronicled her own experiences in her "House of Darkness House of Light" trilogy, which later inspired "The Conjuring."

It was that blockbuster film that put the farmhouse on the map.
