BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - THE NEXT 24 HOURS : Scattered showers will continue to impact our area through tonight as a front slowly crosses the state.

I know this hasn’t been the rainmaker we need, but at least the window for scattered showers will continue through tonight and tomorrow morning. Most of the precipitation will slide east by Wednesday afternoon.

The sky will be partly to mostly cloudy, with highs in the low 80s.

THE NEXT BIG THING : Another surge of cooler and drier air will reach our area on Thursday, bringing some clouds and a few showers. Highs will only reach the middle 70s on Thursday, with temperatures tumbling into the 50s on Thursday night.
