One person is dead after a fishing boat capsized on the Mississippi River near Xcel Energy's nuclear plant in Monticello, according to authorities.
The Wright County Sheriff's Office said the incident happened around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, with three men plunged into the water.
According to the Sheriff's Office, two men made it safely to shore and were found by Xcel Energy staff.
Xcel Energy staff also found the third man unresponsive in the water and brought him to shore, where they were met by deputies and medics.
Despite life-saving measures, the man was pronounced dead.
The incident is under investigation by the Wright County Sheriff's Office.
