The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for portions of our area from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday as temperatures are expected to drop near the freezing point of 32F overnight.

Counties currently under the alert include Dodge, Olmsted, Wabasha, and Winona counties in Minnesota, as well as La Crosse County in Wisconsin.

With temperatures dropping this low, widespread areas of frost could occur which could damage sensitive outdoor plants. If possible, bring in or cover these plants so they have a better chance to survive the night.

Warmer overnight lows in the 40s are expected through the rest of the week.
