AUSTIN, Minn. — Approximately 400 fourth-grade students from Banfield, Neveln, Southgate, Sumner, and Pacelli schools participated in the 4th Grade Junior Fire Poster Contest. The Austin Fire Department selected two students from each school as local winners. On October 6, 2025, the ten winners attended the Poster Winners Party at Pizza Ranch in Austin. They enjoyed a free buffet and gifts donated by local businesses. Daniel Scherger was named the first-place winner, while Harrison Kline received an honorable mention.
