VERMILLION, S.D. (KCAU) — A Vermillion, South Dakota, mother has just received a brand new HVAC system, and won't be paying a penny.

The parent of four received the new heating and cooling system on Tuesday morning as a part of a local business's give-back program.

"I was in a little bit of shock. I may have cried a little bit just hearing I had been nominated, and it's a lot," said Mary Duncan, Kalin's Indoor Comfort and Lennox's 'Feel the Love' recipient.

Mary Duncan is a single mother of four adopted children, ranging from ages three to ten, and has been a long-time foster parent for kids.

Duncan was nominated by her friend for the program, which has hundreds of applicants.
