OAKLAND, Maine (WABI) - Alfond Youth and Community Center’s Camp Tracy in Oakland cut a ribbon on Tuesday on a brand new facility.

The Alfond Lodge at McGrath Pond has been a vision for five years and on Tuesday, it was opened to members of the community.

The facility is meant to be a dining hall and indoor recreational space for those spending summer days and nights at Camp Tracy.

When not being used by campers, the intention is to make it a event space to rent out with profits going right back into the programs of A.Y.C.C. and Camp Tracy.

Those that headed the project are excited to see it put to use and continue expanding A.Y.C.C.’s programs for kids of all backgrounds.
