EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The Indiana Court of Appeals came to Bosse High School Tuesday morning as part of the Appeals on Wheels program.
Appeals on Wheels travels to all 92 counties in the state of Indiana bringing live oral arguments to local communities.
Approximately 40 traveling oral arguments are done per year.
Tuesday, a panel of judges heard live, in-person arguments for Ivan Juhan Jones v. State of Indiana in front of a crowd of students and faculty.
“You can watch court TV and see trial courts, but not what appellate courts do, so today was a good opportunity for students that want to go into law, or just people in general wanting to understand what happens,“ said Les Shively, Chief Judge of the Vanderburgh County Superior Court.
