EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Amateur Hour wasn’t the only fun on tap Tuesday night. The King and Queen contest was immediately after.
A crowd gathered as contestants from nearby schools made their way across the stage.
Judges and last year’s winners joined the contestants on stage as the MC introduced each pair.
Finally, the winner was announced, and this year’s King is Harlen Rowe and Queen is Adelaide Wildeman from Resurrection Catholic School.
“I was really nervous cause there was a lot of other great girls that I thought were definitely going to get it but I got it and I’m very happy,” says Adelaide.
The King and Queen candidates are eighth graders who were voted by their peers to represent their school.
In addition to bragging rights, the Queen also received a tiara, trophy, and a
