GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - On Tuesday, the Wisconsin Army National Guard invited media to participate in a fitness challenge.

The goal is to see whether they can pass the Army’s annual physical fitness test.

Action 2 News Maria Parmigiani was at the Wisconsin National Guard, and she saw what it takes to be a soldier and took part in their physical fitness test.

“The army fitness test it’s a series of 5 events: dead lifts, push-ups, sprint drag carry, static plank, and the 2-mile run,” Lt. Col. Jesse Augustine said.

This is a test of physical fitness and mental aptitude, meant to emulate tasks that soldiers will have to perform while on duty or deployed.

“The Wisconsin Army National Guard, our army requirement, is to pass the Army fitness test annually,” Lt. Col. Augustine said.
