A 45-year-old man is facing multiple charges in connection with a head-on crash that occurred on Lakeside Drive on Sept. 17, according to the Lynchburg Police Department.

Quintase Peerman, of Hurt in Pittsylvania County, has been charged with reckless driving, operating a vehicle without a license, speeding and failure to wear a seatbelt, the LPD said in a news release Monday.

The crash occurred around 12:45 p.m. in the 2600 block of Lakeside Drive. An 81-year-old woman, who was ejected from her vehicle in the crash, suffered serious injuries, police said.

Peerman also was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital for treatment of injuries after the crash, according to police.
