WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - NEXTenant is now up and running in the Air Capital and is seeking landlords who want to make a difference.

The program from United Way of the Plains and Coalition to End Homelessness in Wichita/Sedgwick County is an online listing service connecting landlords with a heart to homeless people in need of a safe home and a new start, while keeping rent at 30% of the renter's income and steady for the landlord via housing vouchers.

"It depends on their type of voucher. Some are rapid rehousing, so that might be 6 to 9 months, others could be their whole lifetime for as long as they need it," Shylee Ziad, a continuum of care planning associate with the United Way of the Plains, said.
